At the workshops for teachers held in the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral, the registered teachers got to know each other and the Museum itself. With the help of the translated DREAM Toolkit, the project was presented to them with special emphasis on the 3rd and 4th phase of the project.
While going through the Toolkit, the teachers recorded important things related to the project and were asking questions and discussing with each other the whole time. After we went through the methodology of the project together, we concentrated on the museater. First, it was explained what the museater should represent at the end of the project and what it should contain, and then together we looked at an example of the museater from the Postal Museum from Finland. After watching the video, we watched it with pauses, highlighting significant elements.
After the presentation of the DREAM Toolkit and watching the museum’s video, a platform for uploading materials and generating them into QR codes was presented. The teachers saw the materials that we prepared for them, as well as the topics that were chosen for creating stories and museaters.
At the end of the workshops, we toured the Museum together so that the teachers could get to know the 12 topics from which they would choose their own and to hear how we at the Museum present it to our youngest visitors.
The teachers decided that they would create the museaters during the summer holidays and that during that period they would visit the Museum on their own several times in order to discuss the chosen topic and their ideas together. They all decided that they would use some of the markers that we uploaded to the platform, but that they would mostly create their own.
